Pillowcases for Primary

So, I was in the primary presidency for a little over 3 years. For the year of 2011, we decided to give the kids pillowcases with a little poem on it for their birthdays. I found some cute LDS fabric at Clove (local fabric store). When we started this I thought we would all be sewing these cute little things. But, when it came time to start, the project was a little bit intimidating to the other 3 women. So, I began. I counted, shopped, couponed at JoAnn's, sewed and repeat. To the tune of 90 pillowcases. I had about 50 or so done when, dun-ta-dun, I got released! It wasn't a bad project because I enjoy sewing. I hope the kids liked them. And I hope the women that got stuck finishing my project don't hate me!

This green one was my favorite! It was for the older boys.
The pink on turned out cute. It is for the little girls.
This one never turned out as cute as I wanted it to. I tried different fabric colors to no aveil. (The spell check on this stinks...shouldn't it correct my bad spelling, not just point it out?) But, oh well, hope the girls like it!
This is for the little boys. Rayce likes his, so I guess that is a good sign.
Awe, I am such a good photographer. (ha,ha) Well, you get the picture. I can sew, but I can't photo!

Turquoise & Lime Green Runner

So, this is the table runner that we made in relief society. Well, everyone else made their's there, but not me. I just can't conform! I had to buy my own fabric and make it on my own time. But, it turned out great! And I was able to give it to this great girl I know as a bridal shower gift!
The back is this pretty chocolate brown fabric with turquiose and yellow paisleys.
This is the finished product. I think it is way cute for spring. Or even use it every day if you like the colors. (I do, I picked them out!)
